WH admits terrorists are Muslims! Nobody ever denied it, chief of staff says

During an appearance Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough made the remarkable claim that the Obama administration has never denied that Muslims are behind a number of recent terrorist attacks.

“Nobody denies that these are Muslims,” McDonough said, when asked by host Chuck Todd why the White House will not use the phrase “radical Islam” when discussing these seemingly constant attacks. “These are Muslims who claim that their warped view of their ideology is what informed their actions.”

“Thier hateful ideology in this instance. What we simply do not believe is they should somehow be seen as representatives of Islam. They do not. It is one of the world’s great religions.”

Nobody denied that these are Muslims?

On Friday, while in Switzerland for the World Economic Forum, Secretary of State John Kerry all but said just that.

“Against this enemy we are increasingly organizing and fighting back,” he said. “But in doing so we have to keep our heads. Obviously, the biggest error that we could make would be to blame Muslims collectively for crimes not committed by Muslims alone.”

“Crimes that the overwhelming majority of Muslims oppose. Crimes that their faith utterly rejects, and that Muslim leaders themselves have the greatest ability to address.”

President Obama also came under fire earlier in the week from a fellow Democrat because he will not “clearly identify” the enemy.

U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbar, D-Hawaii, an Iraqi War veteran, expressed “grave concern” during an interview with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto, saying “unless you clearly identify your enemy, then you cannot come up with a very effective strategy.”

State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf refused to acknowledge that Muslims are responsible for the attacks in a recent interview.

Harf also avoided using the term “Islamic terrorism” when asked by Fox News host Martha MacCallum, saying “it is not the only kind of extremism we face.”

And just days after the horrific attack on the Paris office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hedbo that left 12 dead, the White House issued a statement announcing that President Obama will host a “Summit on Countering Violent Extremism”- without using the term Muslim, or Islamic, once.

But then, after this administration reduced Islamist terror to amorphous “man-caused disasters” that sometimes require “overseas contingency operations,” and had the audacity to label the 2009 Fort Hood attack by radical Muslim Nidal Malik Hasan “workplace violence,” who didn’t see this one coming?
