See $80 ad that could score guy $ 1 million from ‘Doritos: Crash the Super Bowl’ ad contest

Old-fashioned ingenuity. It’s nice to see it pay off for this young guy and his girlfriend.

According to CNN Money:

Actor, dancer and Doritos enthusiast Alex Pepper has already turned a 30-second film with an $80 budget into a $25,000 payoff. With a bit more luck, it could even make him a millionaire.

Pepper, 25, is one of 10 finalists out of 4,900 contestants in PepsiCo’s annual “Doritos: Crash the Super Bowl” ad contest. For a brief spot called “What could go wrong?” he’s earned a minimum prize of $25,000 and a trip to the Super Bowl with his girlfriend Sarah Lynn Reedy, who shot the ad. They will be guests at a private suite watching the big game in the University of Phoenix Stadium on Feb. 1.

“No one knows until the commercial airs,” Pepper said. “At any moment, one of us is going to have a million dollars and a job. The rest of us are going to be: Grrrr.”
