Sarah Palin slams back at PETA hypocrites: Obama ate a dog, at least my son didn’t

While 2015 may be a new year, some things don’t change — like Sarah Palin’s intolerance of the hypocritical left.

The former Alaska governor created a social media uproar last week when she posted a photo on Facebook of her youngest son Trig standing on the family dog to reach the sink.

Her critics lost their collective minds, with the animal rights group PETA leading the charge.

Palin returned to the scene of the alleged crime –Facebook — on Saturday to post a lengthy response to the criticism, urging PETA to “chill” because things could have been worse.

“Chill,” she wrote. “At least Trig didn’t eat the dog.”

“Did you go as crazy when your heroic Man-of-Your-Lifetime, Barack Obama, revealed he actually enjoyed eating dead dog meat?” Palin asked.

The comment was a clear reference to President Obama’s revelation in his autobiography that he ate dog as a child in Indonesia.

She also reminded the group of a strikingly similar photo that was posted by Ellen DeGeneres, whom PETA named “Woman of the Year” in 2009.

“Did you get all wee-wee’d up when she posted this sweet picture?”Palin asked. “Hypocritical, much?”

After slamming PETA for opposing commercial fishing and Alaska’s annual Iditarod dog sled race, Palin noted that she and the activist group likely agree on “respecting God’s creation and critters.”

And she stressed that her family treats their animals better than some on the left treat political opponents.

“Our pets, including Trig’s best buddy Jill Hadassah, are loved, spoiled and cared for more than some people care for their fellow man whose politics may not mesh with nonsensical liberally failed ways or don’t fit your flighty standards,” she concluded.

“Jill is a precious part of our world. So is Trig.”
