Rush makes a rare Sunday talk show appearance — and guess who he REALLY slams

Making a rare appearance on the Sunday talk shows, talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said the Republican Party does not want to stop President Obama’s agenda, and said it’s “reprehensible” that the president is dividing the country.

In a wide ranging interview with “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace, Rush commented on a potential government shutdown, recent events in Ferguson, Mo., and even Hillary Clinton.

On the recent racial discord, Limbaugh said,  “If you listened to these people – the president, the mayor of New York – you’d think it’s 200 years ago.”

Limbaugh said Obama is tearing the country apart by promoting racial division and mischaracterizing what happened in Ferguson.

“We have people to whom the truth is a relic and they’re using whatever power they have to redefine the truth for their own political agenda, and the president taking sides in this in a way that further divides the country, I find reprehensible and very unfortunate, too,” he said.

Wallace questioned Limbaugh about his recent criticism of some Fox News hosts on their opposition to a government shutdown being used to counter Obama’s overreaching executive order on immigration.

“This isn’t about a government shutdown. This is about two elections in which the people in this country are begging the Republican people to spot this man,” Limbaugh said. .

Wallace countered that the polls show voters blamed the Republican Party for the shutdown.

“They won a landslide election 10 months after that so-called shutdown,” Limbaugh replied. “You keep talking polls to me. The essence of a poll is an election, and I’ve got two of them. And we would have won in 2012 if 4 million Republicans hadn’t stayed home.”

Rush said the GOP wants the same thing Obama wants on immigration.

“Because the truth of matter is they agree with him: Romney agrees with it, Jeb Bush agrees with it, Chamber of Commerce agrees with it,” he said. “Obviously, the Republican establishment doesn’t want to stop Obama on comprehensive immigration reform.”
