Fox News and CNN did America a service Tuesday when they cut away from a Ferguson, Mo., news conference just as Al Sharpton was getting ready to appear on camera.
And they weren’t even subtle about it.
Three cable news networks, Fox, CNN and MSNBC started coverage of the news conference by attorneys representing attorneys Benjamin Crump and Anthony Gray, who are representing the family of police shooting victim Michael Brown.
But when the lawyers stopped talking and Sharpton took center stage, Fox and CNN cut away from the scene, opting to air their own analysis of the situation so far and digest what the attorneys had said.
Only MSNBC — the last-place liberal network that embarrasses itself nightly by carrying Sharpton’s “PoliticsNation” – kept going with the event live.
And even that’s more than the preening pimp of pomposity deserves.
