A Virginia man who identified himself as Dr. William Wheeler hung the Nazi flag outside his home because he wanted to compare President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler after Obama’s executive action plan on immigration, according to 13News Now.
In defense of his act, Wheeler told reporters, “I am not a Nazi, I am half-Jewish.”
“I hung the flag after watching President Obama (Thursday) night,” Wheeler said. “Obama usurped his oath of office. I wanted people to be shocked, because I am offended.”

The Daily News reported that neighbors were outraged, calling the move tasteless and “disturbing.” A 13- year -old Jewish boy went right up to the door to confront Wheeler.
Another neighbor, Beth Brooker, told reporters that Wheeler and his female companion hurled insults at her when she challenged them over the flag. Brooker had this to say:
“It’s amazing how somebody can have so much hate in them and feel it’s okay to express themselves,” Brooker said. “Granted, there’s freedom of speech. He can do and say whatever he wants to, but I think you need to have some respect for people in this country — and that flag represents nothing but hate.”
Wheeler removed the flag but declined to be interviewed on camera.
While his method was unfortunate and disturbing, Wheeler’s message was crystal clear.
