Watch: Officer fires 15 rounds into suspect’s car in dramatic dash cam video

Officer Shane Cunningham, an Austin, Texas police officer, was responding to a burglary when the burglary suspect’s vehicle slammed into his patrol car.

Cunningham yelled for the passengers of the car to stop and put their hands up. When they didn’t he fired 15 shots into the car.

Bullets from Cunningham’s gun struck the driver, Miguel Macias, five times – including once in his head, according to KXAN, the NBC affiliate in Austin.

Miraculously enough, Macias survived, and is currently standing trial for aggravated assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon and burglary charges in connection with the August confrontation, KXAN reported.
