RNC spokesman pounds NAACP traitors for shamefully ignoring Tim Scott, Mia Love historic victories

In a series of tweets that sparked a national conversation about the usefulness of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the deputy press secretary for the GOP pounded the organization for ignoring the historic midterm wins of Congresswoman-elect Mia Love, R-Utah, and Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C. .

On Fox News Friday:

The NAACP addressed the election in a statement, but failed to acknowledge the election of the first black Republican woman to Congress, or the first black senator to win an election in the South since Reconstruction.

Instead of celebrating gains made by black Americans, the NAACP pushed the well worn theme of voter suppression.

“This election was not about who won but the rather the citizens who lost the right to participate,” the organization said in a statement. “This first election post the Shelby vs. Holder decision resulted in problems in every single state previously protected by the Voting Rights Act.”
