Three men wearing KKK hood, Muslim veil, and a helmet try to enter government building; only one gets in

On Monday, the one-week anniversary of the end of the Australian federal Parliament’s burqa-ban, three men from the group “Faceless” caused quite a stir by attempting to enter the Parliament dressed in a KKK costume, a biker helmet and a traditional Muslim niqab.

The group said it is hypocritical for the KKK outfit and biker helmet to be banned from the Paliament building while the burqa is allowed, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Sergio Redegalli, who wore the KKK garb, is a staunch supporter of the “Ban the Burqas” movement.

Redegalli said his message was not anti-Muslim or anti-women but rather about precedent, according to the Daily Telegraph.

“If you let it go, someone, somewhere down the line will say, ‘we would like Sharia Law,” he said.

To their point on hypocrisy, the three men were stopped by police and told that the KKK mask and biker helmet had to be removed but the niqab could be worn.

“One of the requirements of coming into Parliament House is that the motorcycle helmet is going to have to come off, your headdress is going to have to come off and your burqa … your identity will be checked,” the security guard said.

“Bit of a loophole, eh?” Redegalli said according to the Herald.

When the group emerged from the security check, none had the facial coverings.

“Because we’re males so there’s a bit of sexism there. It seems you’re allowed to wear a full face covering into Parliament if you’re a Muslim woman but no other group is allowed to have that same privilege,” Redegalli said.

Because who ever heard of a female suicide bomber?
