A fight between an East Baltimore teacher and her student broke out Friday resulting in assault charges for the female teen.
According to several angles of video footage, the altercation began in the classroom of Carver Vocational-Technical High School when the teacher instructed her student to put her phone away during a test. Some video, not shown here, picks up the girl pushing a chair across the room in the direction of the female teacher and then throwing something at her.
In the hallway, the hostile student came into view while the teacher was talking on her cellphone, trying to get assistance, sources said. The video shows her hurling her notebook at the frustrated teacher.
The teacher can be heard saying, “I’ll fu**ing kill you in here bi**h. What the f**k do you think this is?,” before charging at the girl, slamming her into a locker and pulling her hair. Several students helped break up the fight.
City schools spokeswoman Anne Fullerton sent 11 News a statement, saying, “The teacher was treated for injuries and has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of external and internal investigations. The student, a minor, was charged with assault and released to a parent.”
