President Obama tapped loyal Democratic operative and lobbyist Ron Klain on Friday to be his Ebola czar.
A move that even Piers Morgan couldn’t help but mock.
You don’t need an Ebola czar, Mr President – you need to take charge yourself. It’s called leadership.
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 17, 2014
@Matthops82 @piersmorgan We know we’re in trouble when Piers Morgan is making more sense than the President.

Isn’t the head of the CDC supposed to be America’s ‘Ebola czar’ ?
— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 17, 2014
Klain served most recently as Vice President Joe Biden’s chief of staff, and was one of the “key players” in the Solyndra scandal, according to The Washington Post.
The Post said Klain’s contribution to the deal that cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars was that he “dismissed auditor’s concerns about Solyndra’s solvency, reasoning that all innovative companies come with risk.”
He’s a lawyer and has no medical experience or training. All of which perfectly qualifies him to oversee the Obama administration’s handling of the killer Ebola virus.
Right?
Not if you peruse Twitter, where you’ll find a sea of mockery ranging from Piers Morgan to Rob Lowe.
And should you expect to be named Obama’s next czar, it may be wise to scrub your Twitter feed before the announcement:

Back to the mockery, here’s but a small sampling of the scorn:
Has anyone explained to Ron Klain exactly what Ebola is? #czar — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 17, 2014
Let me get this straight. The new “Ebola Czar” has NO medical experience?!! This cannot possibly be correct. WTF? — Rob Lowe (@RobLowe) October 17, 2014
Why get an experienced public health doc when a political hack w. no med. exp. is available? https://t.co/eNQ3rLsbSL #WorstPresidentEver — Donna Cahill (@DTCahill) October 17, 2014
Q: What does Ron Klain know about Ebola? Josh Earnest: “We were not looking for an Ebola expert.” — LeftyBollocks (@LeftyBollocks) October 17, 2014
Our new #Ebola czar seems to have precisely one marketable skill: damage control for Democrats.

Obama put a WH staffer in charge of Ebola efforts because he views this as a political crisis, not a health crisis. Telling. — Sean Davis (@seanmdav) October 17, 2014
