This is what happens when police officer fitness tests are so diluted, just about anyone can join the force. Some of the cops I see walking around the streets today — both male and female — are a joke. When I was a teenager, cops were so big and tough that people resisted arrest a lot less often than they do today. Officers in those days didn’t need tanks, machine guns or SWAT teams to make felony arrests, either.
