In the early morning hours Saturday, an unidentified man contacted local taxi service BWB Transportation, requesting a ride. When the driver arrived to a pick up location within Ypsilanti, a man came out to the car carrying an unknown wrapped object that he placed in the rear of the vehicle, according to the Ypsilanti Courier’s report.

The victim, identified as 21-year-old Mira Dressel of Ypsilanti, Mich. is suspected to have died from a drug overdose, although the official cause of death and circumstances leading up to it are still under investigation, the Courier reported.

The female driver took the cab customer to the 2700 block of Golfside Road, but called her boss while en route due to her concern over the odd situation. The driver’s boss, Derrick Campbell, 47, met the customer at the Golfside location, where the two engaged in brief conversation before Campbell assisted the man in dumping the body under a bush.

Suspecting the object was a human body, the driver immediately called the Washtenaw County police department, who then arrested Campbell and booked him into the Washtenaw County Jail on charges of concealing the death of a person, attempting to conceal the death of a person, conspiracy to commit concealing the death of a person and failing to report the discovery of a body, according to the police report.

The second suspect, the customer, is expected to be arraigned this week on similar charges to Campbell’s.

Detroit’s Fox News affiliate, Fox2, reported on the odd circumstances surrounding this strange scenario, which is currently still under investigation:
