Obama visits burger joint after Malaysia Airlines jet shot down: ‘I’m starving!’

Amid the news that a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet was shot down over eastern Ukraine Thursday, killing all 295 people on board, including up to 23 American citizens, President Obama maintained his normal schedule.

A schedule that included a stop at a burger joint, as ABC News chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl noted in a tweet Thursday afternoon:

Obama’s seemingly nonchalant attitude quickly wore thin with a host of Twitter users, but the real question is, has this country learned yet that elections have consequences?
