The father of former Navy SEAL slain during the Benghazi attack will be an Oklahoma congressman’s guest during President Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday night.

“As a combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, I understand the importance of knowing that America leaves no one behind. I am honored to host the father of a true hero,” GOP Rep. Jim Bridenstine said in a statement about inviting Charles Woods, according to The Washington Times.

Woods is the father of Tyrone Woods, one of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, killed by al-Qaida-affiliated terrorists in the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya.

Bridenstine tweeted the announcement:

The Oklahoma congressman is one of many House Republicans who have called for a select committee to investigate Benghazi, and his office said he is using this occasion to make sure it will not be forgotten.

With Woods’ appearance, Tuesday could become a ghost from Benghazi’s past. But then again, the president may be too busy campaigning to even notice.
