Former mayors discover membership in Bloomberg’s anti-gun group was kiss of death

Join Michael Bloomberg’s nutty Mayors Against Illegal Guns at your own risk.

That’s the theme of “Unmasking Bloomberg’s Mayors,” Ginny Simone’s latest “NRA Special Report,” and a lesson learned by incumbent Lakeland, Fla., Mayor Gow Fields.

Contrary to the organization’s name, Mayors Against Illegal Guns has less to do with getting illegal guns off the streets than it does making legal guns illegal.

Lakeland City Commissioner Howard Wiggs defeated Fields by a wide margin last month. He credits his success in part to the incumbent mayor’s membership in the anti-gun group co-founded by New York City Mayor Bloomberg, according to NRA News.

Fields wasn’t alone. He was one of nearly two dozen members of Mayors Against Illegal Guns who lost their re-election bid.

Watch the report from the NRA, then check out A cappella group’s amazing version of ‘Little Drummer Boy’ goes insanely viral.
