Sarah Palin’s hanging out with Duck Dynasty family

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin paid a visit to the Duck Commander crew when she was in Monroe, La. for a book signing at the Books-A-Million.

Palin was promoting her new book, “Good Tidings and Great Joy: Protecting the Heart of Christmas” Saturday when she met the Robertsons and tweeted:

She posted photos of both the book signing and her visit with the Robertson’s on her Facebook page, along with her personal thoughts and descriptions.

Thank you, Monroe, Louisiana! Had a blast meeting the Duck Commander gang as well as the great folks who came to the book signing yesterday evening. A happy happy happy Christmas to all of you and a big shout out to the staff at Books-A-Million!

P.S. In this photo, Todd was FaceTiming with the Duck Commander team while he was out snowmaching on a frozen river in Alaska training for the Iron Dog!

I totally agree.

Of the book itself, Peter Schweizer of Breitbart News wrote:

The book’s blending of personal experience with discussions of political efforts to morph Christmas into a homogenized celebration of the “holidays” makes for a brisk and enjoyable read. Even as we learn that Todd Palin gives the Governor what she considers the coolest of Christmas gifts—such as a .30-06 rifle, hockey skates, and a “beautiful red manual ice auger for ice fishing”—Palin packs powerful punches.

“If I’m for Christmas, it’s only because I’m for Christ,” writes Gov. Palin, according to Breitbart. “There is no ultimate peace apart from Christ, and it is Christ who empowers every act of ‘goodwill toward men’ in our otherwise fallen hearts.”

The book also discusses the war some in society wage on Christmas.

“There are few things that anger a secular liberal atheist more than a horizontal plank intersecting a vertical plank—a cross—on public land,” writes Palin. “Perhaps Christmas causes so much anger because the very name of the holiday broadcasts the Name above all Names.”

Man… Had I stayed in West Monroes a few more hours I could have come home knowing that I had been in the company of some great Americans who actually believe in patriotism as it is meant… Darn

    • Doug

Come to the Villages in Fl. They all come through there when they have something to sell.

    • Doug

Kenny you could have matched wits with some of the greatest minds in the western world.

      • Kenneth Clark

But Cruz, Paul and Carson weren’t there. They would have to have been there for your statement to be true. ;-)

        • Doug

True about Cruz. As you know he graduated from Princeton and Harvard the two finest bastions of learning in our great land.

          • Kenneth Clark

True but Carson is no sloutch either.

        • Doug

Must agree about Carson who was educated at Michigan and Johns Hopkins two terrific schools. Paul slipped a little at first by going to Baylor, west of the Mississippi, but righted himself by graduating from Duke on the east coast. My youngest son also graduated from Duke and Duke law.

          • Nice Ride

I truely like Carson. However he is weak on the 2nd Amendment.

She always finds ways to promote herself which is consistently her primary objective and agenda. Can’t stand her.

    • HongryHawg

She’s promoting the Conservative cause. We need 100 million more like her. Apparently, we can count you out.

      • JerryS

Sarah Palin unacceptable to me. Count me out when it comes to her. The cause is a different story. Let’s find others to carry the banner with a little more upstairs.

    • Kenneth Clark

You make her sound like a progressive, liberal, extreme left Democrat.

  • HonestToAtee

I am so glad I met her in Naples a few weeks ago. Only the salt of the earth show up to see Sarah Palin proving that good attracts good!!!

  • Doug

    Beauty and the Beast.
