Cute or abuse? Controversial, viral ‘How to fight a baby’ video still generating buzz

A video, posted 10 days ago by 43-year-old comedian Gavin McInneshas, garnered over 10 million views, created lots of laughs and generated its fair share of controversy as well. Even it’s name contributes to the controversy. It’s called, “How to fight a baby,” and was the subject of a segment on “The O’Reilly Factor” Wednesday night.

Here’s the segment between Bill O’Reilly and Martha McCallum.

Although McCallum thought it was hilarious and both agreed it was harmless, others thought differently.

Some of the negative comments referred to “shaken baby syndrome” and one posted, “Psycho guy!! Poor baby !!!” Another was concerned about spinal cord injuries when McInneshas flipped the baby over. Several called it child abuse. “This dad should go to jail,” said another.

Check it out and give us your thoughts!

At least he is with his child. Looks like early infant stimulation to me.

All 3 of my kids loved it when I threw them on the bed or pillows or couch when they were little. They would laugh so hard and want me to do it again and again till I was too tired and then want some more.

The baby was never in any danger. You can see the fathers hand in back of his head. The baby is laughing and smiling and having a good time.

He is having a blast… We played like that with all three of our kids! They LOVE it!!! The real abuse, is parents who don’t interact with their children !
