Government union boss vows fight ‘in the streets’ over voter ID

In a classic example of government union thuggery in the Obama Era, the president of the American Federation of Government Employees pledges to bring violence to the streets of the United States to make it possible for Democrats to keep stealing elections.

“I’m committing myself, I’m committing our union, and the labor movement. We will not — we will not — allow Republican governors to control the vote in this country,” AFGE President J. David Cox said at a Rainbow PUSH gathering this week at the Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.

jdavidcox1129The occasion was Jesse Jackson’s 72nd birthday, and the topic was Republican efforts to ensure the integrity of American elections by passing voter identification laws.  Cox, like all liberals, doesn’t like voter ID laws. Unlike most liberals, though, he plans to start riots about them.

“That is a God-given right of every citizen. The right to vote!” Cox told his audience, according to the Daily Caller. “We are going to fight ’em. We’re going to fight them in the streets. We are going to fight them anywhere. We are going to fight them! I don’t care what the Supreme Court says.”

First of all, does anyone think Mr. J. David Cox is going to be doing any street fighting any time soon? Guys who call themselves J. David Cox don’t throw Molotov cocktails or brandish baseball bats. They sip martinis and file legal briefs. If anyone bleeds because of the words of J. David Cox, rest assured it won’t be J. David Cox.

Second, if the president of the American Federation of Government employees doesn’t care what the Supreme Court says, it’s a safe bet his union doesn’t either. And given the left’s history in the Obama era  — SEIU thugs on the campaign trail, Occupy rioters (remember them?) – it’s a safe bet at least some of J. David’s union members will take him at his word.

The American system of government is going to be violently attacked by its own employees. J. David Cox says so. (Meanwhile, the mainstream media continues the fruitless hunt for someone in the tea party to do something more violent than sneeze without covering his mouth.)

Finally, J. David says his union of government employees “will not allow Republican governors to control the country.” How does J. David think Republican governors get into office anyway? By rigging a union election?

The fact that the president of the American Federation of Government Employees has no problem calling for violence against the government itself says a lot about the diseased, parasitic relationship between the American people and their government employees unions.

The fact that he does so from the posh confines of the Beverly Hills Hilton hotel in Los Angeles says it all about the hypocrisy of the modern union movement – as far removed from the working people it claims to represent as any CEO ever was.

Plus, he calls himself J. David Cox.
