Top Dems attend launch party for Wasserman Shultz’s new book

dws-pelosiTop Democrats joined with other notable progressives at a launch party this week celebrating the release of a new book by U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee.

The event took place Wednesday evening at the Capitol Hill home of U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., and featured House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, according to Mediaite. House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., was also present because, well, someone has to carry Pelosi’s purse.

Others on hand included Democratic National Committee vice chair Donna Brazile, Bill Clinton’s former White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers and Hilary Rosen, who said Ann Romney has “never worked a day in her life.”

And since no far-left gathering would be complete without a union thug, Richard Trumpka, president of the AFL-CIO, was also in attendance.

The most bizarre moment of the evening was when uber creepy Jim Messina introduced Wasserman Shultz — Messina is chairman of Organizing for Action, the successor of Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign and of Organizing for America.

Referring to Wasserman Schultz as “meek and mild,” Messina said she “enjoys the f-word as much as I do,” and, staying true to character, makes reference to her “writing a f*king book” a moment later.

Because nothing says class like rattling off a few f-bombs in the presence of Democratic elite, who laugh along at the vulgarity.

The book, written by someone who has contributed much to the problems we face as a nation, is titled, For the Next Generation: A Wake-Up Call to Solving Our Nation’s Problems.” An effort that stays true to the progressive agenda of targeting the young in the never ending quest to “fundamentally transform the United States of America.”
