CNN reporter chastises colleague for calling tea party ‘radicals’

CNN anchor and political hack Michael Holmes got a rebuke for echoing the silly, leftist lies President Obama loves to perpetuate about the tea party

And the admonition came from none other than his own colleague, CNN anchor Jim Acosta.

During a discussion Friday about the government shutdown, Holmes said in his Aussie accent:

“The sort of tea party radicals, if you like, who kicked all of this off, they electorally are safe. They’re not going to lose their seats because of redistricting and the like. They’re more about ideology than pragmatism or bipartisanship. What chance they’re going to change their minds at all when we get to January and it’s talk time again?”

Acosta cautioned Holmes against the use of the term “radicals,” saying “a lot of those folks feel like they’re standing on principle today, even though they didn’t come out on top in this,” according to The Blaze.

Those who get all their information about the tea party from Holmes or Jesse Jackson should go to the group’s website, teapartypatriots.org, which lists these “core principles”: fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free market economics.

Any student of history might deem government-run health care a “radical” concept. Perhaps the death of journalistic integrity could also be added to the “radical” list as well.
