Homeland Security advisor admits radical Islamic ties

Nothing good can ever come from having the proverbial fox guarding the henhouse.

But so it goes with Mohamed Elibiary, the self-described Muslim Brotherhood supporter recently promoted to a senior advisory position within the Department of Homeland Security.

The Washington-based, national security think tank, Center for Security Policy, published a disturbing 33-page report based on a series of interviews with Elibiary about his admitted ties to a man who raised funds for Hamas and “other radical Islamist causes,” all while serving and advising the Obama administration.

Judicial Watch reported on the findings, noting that Elibiary “has regular access to classified information and is a prime mover behind two of the Obama administration’s most dangerous policies; normalizing relations with domestic and foreign Islamist groups (including the Muslim Brotherhood) and arduous enforcement restrictions of laws related to material support for terrorism.

The report gives the following sampling on Elibiary who:

Began as a teenager a tight friendship with a self-described Islamist named Shukri Abu Baker, who later was convicted of financing Hamas through his US Muslim Brotherhood entity, the Holy Land Foundation;

Donated to the Holy Land Foundation monthly since his first encounter with Baker until the Foundation was shut down by the US government;

Defends the innocence of this Hamas financier and depicts his prosecution as a case of political persecution;

Opposes the largest terrorism-financing prosecution in US history and the overall targeting of the US Muslim Brotherhood network;

Admits knowing the Muslim Brotherhood “social network” (as he calls it) in a “much more personal manner than the Average White Guy…”

Supports a partnership with Islamists, particularly the Muslim Brotherhood, in the US and abroad.

“I simply find it counterproductive to American national security interests to treat the Muslim Brotherhood like the mafia, Nazi party, fascists, communists or any other entity we politically ostracize,” Elbiary said, according to the report. “[Muslim Brotherhood members] naturally exist everywhere at this point, but that’s not a problem in and of itself because there have been MB members inside the US abiding by the law for a very long time.”

According to Judicial Watch, who noted the report’s information that Elibiary has ties to a U.S. Islamic group that promotes Sharia “as the only legitimate law according to Islam:”

As troubling as this may seem, Elibiary wields tremendous power in national security issues, promoting a narrative that the Muslim brotherhood and other Islamists are moderates. He has also worked to purge even the most basic information about the doctrinal drivers of terrorism from U.S. government training materials. The root cause of terrorism and Islamic extremism is not the Islamist ideology but legitimate gripes against Western policy, Elibiary insists in the interview.

When former Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced Elibiary’s DHS appointment in 2010 Judicial Watch reported that he was a backer of the Ayatollah Khomeini and a well-known Egyptian jihadist named Sayyid Qutb. In fact, Elibiary participated in a tribute to Khomeini, the ruthless Iranian revolutionary whose teachings continue to govern Middle Eastern terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda. Last year JW reported that Elibiary leaked classified documents to a media outlet that had declined to do a story supposedly exposing DHS’s promotion of “Islamophobia.”

Are we really to feel comfortable that the homeland is secure with Obama administration advisors like this in our midst?

      Average White Guy = American. Anybody else = enemy.

        this kind of crap used to be called treason…but now because of people like YOU who scream RACISM every time anyone with a brain notices treasonous acts…it goes unchecked.

      That’s why the tours are over for US the Americans.. the Muslim brotherhood lives there now

  • Trudy Hand

    Has this country gone mad. This man should not be in our government what so ever, if he has a connection to someone that raised money for Hamas. I think it is time to exit this president out of the white House. With the people in this administration he has hired, he has put our country at risk. It is time to show him the front door.

    • twoforme

      this country has been mad for a while Trudy Hand… The Bush family had direct ties to Hitler, grandpa even had the bank he and another owned that was funneling money to the Hitler regime confiscated…did not stop him, but there are volumes of the Bushs’ involvement in blatant illegal goings on. This administration is just more in your face, its Bushs’ fault, and who cares if we lie, we were elected and now that we are king we can do what we want. Now everyone put your thumb on your nose, wiggle your fingers and do a long loud raspberry……

      • Sculptorofbabies

        You are full of B.S Prove your statement..

        • twoforme

          am sure you had history classes? and you are able to google? this one is pretty good has historical information blended in the article… http://www.theguardian.com/world/2004/sep/25/usa.secondworldwar was written a while ago…. the only reason nobama was elected was because this last Bush was a total bomb politically for the people but not so bad for Haliburton …..you must know history, right?

          • Sculptorofbabies

            You know what really gets me.. Obama has committed so many bad deals for Americans, but, you all follow him like he is God..He can do no wrong. He is not God, he is not even acting as a president..He is not a leader… He is killing this country.And, he is doing it purposely.. George Bush has more patriotism in his little finger, than Barack has in his whole body.. He cares for the people.. Not just Muslims, not just illegals, not just the Democrats and Liberals, but, everyone. He still is the one that goes to the hosp. and visits the veterans..I would be tickled to death, if he was in the Oval Office, right now..And, I am not alone..Oh, and by the way, I read the article you linked and you are reading between the lines., to get the assumption you stated earlier..

          • Aaron Barnes

            obama doesnt care about anyone he only cares about people when he needs them and then throw them away, he uses people for his own goals. during his first year in office he paid off all the people who got him elected, unions, minorities, and people on welfare. the bail out of the car industry was a nothing more than him paying the unions off. The stimulus plan he pass was nothing more than paying off all the special interest groups who got him elect, he send millions to clean energy companies and now most of them have failed and the CEOs ran off with millions which some of that was tax payers. How can people call him a good leader if he never lead anything.

          • GABEnTX

            I’ll just say ok to the hitler ties. Hitler is dead now. But the muslim brotherhood is chopping priests heads off in Syria. Sorry. but when you put out statements like yours it seems your trying to distract from the fact that Obama has enemies advising him.

          • GABEnTX

            I dont mean to say that Bush’s “ties to hitler” are nothing. But I’m reading an article about how the muslim brotherhood is advising our president!? How they have access to classified information?! This seems to be the point here and now. Why point the finger in another direction when you have proof of enemies in the White house!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Aaron Barnes

            reason why nobama got elect because he black

      • Jacobite2

        If you are an American, Hitler wasn’t nearly as bad as Stalin; compared to Mohammedans, he was Mother Theresa.

        • twoforme

          no, they were/are both bad, Mother Theresa infers opposite of what they are, if you took all of Hitlers acts against humanity they are evil, as are these acts committed by these evil Mohammedans. But I understand the reference to Mother Theresa….

        • Aaron Barnes

          In fact the western Dem. supported Hitler because they hated Stalin. They were using Hitler to be a check to communist aggression and Hitler knew that and took advantage of it by rebuilding his army and defending his rearming by saying he is the first line of defense if the Russians invade.

  • Tommy may

    HEY>>Aldareehea is now here giving us the true news ,so what’s wrong wit having some Islams on the Security Board?

  • Gabriel

    Socialism here in America will fall. I strongly believe that America is brighter days are ahead but these are troubling times I’m not going to lie to you I feel worried about the direction our country’s going in. I’ve gotten a lot of hate I’m sure you all have to that speak the truth. I will tell you liberals and Democrats do not like to be pointed out the truth in every single issue there is. They would rather live in a dream land then face the fact that their policies their beliefs on how life should be run are totally wrong.

      When the Japanese bombed pearl harbor Hirohito said: “We have awakened a sleeping giant.” Perhaps we needed to wake up.

      • buckeyebubba

        As a retired Army officer who also spent 6 years on the White House staff, we all took the oath, “to protect and defend the Consitution against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC…” The President’s oath, as specified in the Constitution, does not have the words about domestic enemies. The Founding Fathers created the 2nd Amendment for the purpose of forcibly removing a tyrant or dictator from office, as well as his supporters if they were to suspend our freedoms. The Judiciary and Congress are obligated to act in this regard. If they don’t, then the military is REQUIRED to remove them. The last resort is armed actions by the citizens to overthrow the tyrannical government, just like in 1776. We are out here, watching and very concerned about the direction of the country under this Marxist Regime. Should things get to the extreme, I have faith that We, the People will act. Remember, we have 200 million guns, and we know how to use them very well.

        • Aaron Barnes

          violence should be the last resort. The founding fathers did the say thing, they protested, they sent letters to the king and uses nonviolence measures, they only used force when all other options failed. we the people need to start voting smart kick out all the people in dc and elect people who will vote for what right and good for the country and their state not vote for things to stay in office. that why america has elections ever 2 yrs and that why we have the 1 amendment and if the 1st one doesnt work then we must used the 2nd one.

      • CapitanMonasterio

        “We have awakened a sleeping giant” was said by Admiral Yamamoto, not by Emperor Hirohito.

        • elizabeth cohen

          I wasn’t sure, but thank you for correcting me.

  • Gabriel

    I am going to tell you this. America is going to learn a hard lesson if we do not start standing up and saying no more. I agree with what Bob Beckel said on the five on Fox News Channel. He told the muslim population here in America. “he said you are either with us or against us and it’s time for you to tell us which side you’re on.” You see I have never once heard the muslims in America say oh we’re not like this radical muslims over there in the Middle East. So I’m going to ask you all the same question are they with us or against us.

    • darcy922

      Gabriel, I heard Bob Beckel when he said that and I also agreed with him. As far as I know they have never spoke out against The Radical Islam’s and never making themselves clear just exactly where they stand. Something is very wrong here, and It should make the American people very uncomfortable really enough to check it out

    • aunti obama

      Same question Bush asked , and the media answered with a hate fest ,..When you arm the rebels who are made up of the same people as we fought in Iraq etc When you fill posts in the US government with Muslim Brotherhood , ask Obama , ARE YOU WITH US OR AGAINST US?? But we already know the answer.. What now any thing he does is not for the benefit of America….

  • darcy922

    How did we become as stupid as we are. If Barack Obama ask the American people to go jump off of a bridge, Would they just ask him which one. This is scary.

    • Sculptorofbabies

      I am afraid they would if they were told there was a free smart phone at the bottom…

  • elizabeth cohen

    Silence in the face of evil is evil itself. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.

    This was said by Dietrich Bonhoeffer in response to what Hitler was doing to the Jews. I think it fits for today. On April 5, 1945, 15 days before the end of WWII, he was hung by the SS on orders from Hitler. As we know 15 days later on April 20th, Hitler committed suicide and the war was over. This one comment says a thousand words. This man was a Lutheran Minister.

    So, what now America?

    • TheBerean

      YES! Nazi Holocaust is the second worse abuse of human life in all of modern history. Surpassed only by the slaughter of 60 million helpless in their mother’s womb.

  • SoldieratWarwithSocialist

    I, (Ricky Alan Reynolds), do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God. Now lead me to Mohamed Elibiary.

    Muslims have NO place in our government. Too many living here in the US have been found to have ties to Al-Qaeda, or other terrorist organizations. We’ve allowed them to come here from their homelands to study, only to be found at the opening of a rifle or gun pointed at our faces! They have the imperative to convert all non-believers by ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
    They are the new Adolf Hitler. We know what HE did to the world. Wake up and pay attention. They need to be stopped before the world has one and only one belief system, and it won’t be of our own choosing. We will be requiered to become Muslim or die. The religion that once was is no longer. They are here to rule and kill the world.

    • Aaron Barnes

      they are not coming over here just to get educated but to spy and survey targets for future attacks and to get to know their enemy, which is the most important rule in war.
