The “it’s all about me” president reacted with a combination of disbelief and narcissism over Friday’s House vote to defund Obamacare.
In a 230-189 vote, the House – yes, “they actually did it” – approved a continuing resolution to fund the government through mid-December, but would not include funding for Obamacare.
Tweets from Barack Obama’s official Twitter account showed the disbelief:
They actually did it: The House just passed a resolution that risks a government shutdown to defund Obamacare. #EnoughAlready

Let’s get this straight: Take the opportunity for affordable health care away from millions of people, #OrTheyShutDownTheGovernment? — Barack Obama (@BarackObama) September 20, 2013
And when Obama arrived to give a speech at a Ford plant in Missouri, he accused House Republicans of basically shirking their duties to govern responsibly and instead focusing all their attention on “trying to mess with me,” he said.
Obama complained to the assembled crowd:
Unfortunately right now, the debate going on in Congress is not meeting the test of helping middle class families. They’re not focused on you. They’re focused on politics. They’re focused on trying to mess with me. They’re not focused on you.
“This is the United States of America — we’re not some banana republic, this is not a deadbeat nation, we don’t run out on our tab,” National Review reported Obama said.
But, it was two Washington Examiner reporters who nailed the president’s whine-fest with mocking tweets:
You mad? RT @BarackObama: They actually did it: The House passed a resolution that risks a govt shutdown to defund Obamacare. #EnoughAlready
