Susan ‘all over a video’ Rice chaired meeting on latest threat to US embassies

President Barack Obama couldn’t make it to Saturday’s National Security Council meeting, so he had his most trusted underling fill in to chair the meeting for him — National Security Advisor Susan Rice.

Although a worldwide terror threat has forced the closures of 22 embassies and consulates in the Middle East, the president decided not to alter his plans to celebrate his birthday Saturday out on the golf course at Andrews Air Force Base. Tee time reservations can be a real hassle.

The Twitterverse took special note, beginning with Investors Business Daily commentator Andrew Malcolm:

Yep! The very same Susan Rice who toured all the Sunday talk shows to feed the public the pablum that Benghazi was all rooted in a YouTube video.

Then Kevin Bohn, CNN’s senior political producer, took note of the meeting’s participants:

Does anyone feel any better? Certainly not marezipenn who tweeted:

Then Fox News contributor Richard Grenell took note of the Security Council’s big decision:

This drew a response from Obama’s former National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vitter, who seemed to miss the point.

Grenell brought Vitter back on track

Meanwhile, after finishing his round of golf, the president went to Camp David to enjoy the rest of the weekend with his family.
