Victims furious FBI won’t investigate IRS targeting

On Wednesday’s edition of Fox News’ “Special Report,” the lack of progress being made in the Federal Bureau of Investigation investigation into the Internal Revenue Service‘s targeting of conservative groups took center stage.

It has been nearly two months since the investigation was announced, but the FBI has not contacted a single victim, Fox News reports.

Jordan Sekulow, executive director of American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which has filed a class action lawsuit againt the IRS on behalf of 41 tea party groups, told Fox News they are still waiting to hear anything pertaining to the investigation.

“Here we are, a month and a half later, not one of our 41 clients who have filed suit in federal court against the IRS and IRS officials have been contacted by the FBI,” Sekulow said.

In a statement issued to CNS News earlier in the week, Sekulow suggested “there’s little evidence to suggest that this probe is on the fast track.”

It worth repeating that the FBI falls under the direction of Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice.
