Sarah Palin: Govt. doing same thing that punk hacker kid did to me

When asked about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden during a wide ranging interview with Fox New’s Eric Bolling on Saturday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said, “Snowden is not the problem; the problem is government violating our Fourth Amendment right.”

The interview began with a focus on the IRS giving out $70 million in bonuses after admitting that it had intentionally targeted conservative groups. Of which, Palin said:

“Only in an Orwellian government would a collective bad deed be so generously rewarded. It is a shame and it’s just more reason to distrust our federal government and the nonsense that’s going on in Washington, D.C.”

Bolling asked if we can trust the federal government and Palin answered: “Is a bear Catholic, does the pope live in the woods? No. I do not trust our federal government.”

When the question came up again, she stated: “I personally do not trust any government that’s being led by Barack Obama when he is fulfilling his promise to fundamentally transform this exceptionally great country.”

Palin was supportive of abolishing the IRS, saying this “would give us reason to finally head toward simplification of the tax code and adopt a flat tax.”

After it was pointed out that FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged using drones on U.S. soil for surveillance purposes, Palin said Sen. Rand Paul “was right when he engaged in the filibuster and what he was asking for a couple of months ago […] these unaswered questions about domestic use of drones and the impact on the American public.”

She added: “Of course he was chided and mocked and ridiculed by the Obama administration, […] but Rand Paul was right. He was asking the questions and now finally we’re getting the answers that yes, drones are used on American soil.”
