The History Channel’s depiction of Satan on Sundays episode of its acclaimed mini-series, “The Bible” had quite a few tongues wagging — and tweeps tweeting.

I wanted to get away from politics for a few hours and decided to tune into the the series’ latest segment. What I saw almost made me spit out my popcorn.

Displayed right there on my TV screen was none other than Barack Obama, our 44th president as — Satan. That’s right, Satan, the Antichrist, Apollyon, Beelzebub, Diabolus, Lucifer, Mephistopheles, the Prince of Darkness.

I mean, I’d always had my suspicions, but this was ridiculous.

Actually it was the devil as portrayed by actor Mehdi Ouzaani, but nonetheless, the resemblance was uncanny.

I wasn’t the only one who’d felt that way. Here’s a tweet from conservative talk show host Glenn Beck.

“Anyone else think the Devil in #TheBible Sunday on History Channel looks exactly like That Guy?”

And they did. @ Leah Christie tweeted, “Oh my word…watching The History Channel’s The Bible..does Satan look familiar to anyone else?”

So much for getting away from politics for an evening.

The following is a four-minute promotion of this exciting series. Its final episode is scheduled to air Mar. 31 — Easter Sunday.
