In his first interview since the election, President Obama admitted to ABC News’ Barbara Walters that he wanted “men with guns” around his daughters as they begin dating.
Obama’s daughter Sasha is 11, and Malia, with her first cell phone at 14, is beginning to get phone calls from boys.
“We joke sometimes about how Malia’s getting to the age now, and boys start calling and, you know, sort of, I always talk about how one of the main incentives for running again was continuing Secret Service protection to have men with guns around at all times…,” said Obama.
While the interview aired on Nightline on Dec. 26, it was apparently recorded prior to the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. Since that time, Obama has called for policy changes pertaining to gun laws and more gun control measures.
Walters promoted the show’s interview with a focus on the Obamas’ marriage, and while paraphrasing the president’s comment about the girls, left out the reference to ‘men with guns’.

Of course, Obama’s comments came before the horrific incident at Sandy Hook. But understand that he can say anything he wants, at any time and then change course the next moment, withut any criticism. His membership in the Church of Hate in Chicago is no longer an issue. His anti-Israel attitude and decisions are pushed aside as, “All politicians do it.” Meaningless, but accepted among the Left-Wing crowd. He could go off on campaigning while the bodies of four Americans are stil warm in Benghazi and it’s no big deal. Trips that run in the millions of taxpayer dollars are brushed off as in, “He needs a vacation from uh, oh, what he does everyday.” Now, your kids and grandkids don’t deserve the same protection as his and the other fat cats’ children in their upscale schools. Hey, the members of the AFT and NEA will protect them. Good luck.
“We joke sometimes”… it was a JOKE. He did not ADMIT to wanting men with guns guarding his daughters, he JOKED that having men with guns around would intimidate boys he wanted to date his daughters.
