Reid vs. Reid: Political hypocrisy documented on video

What a difference seven years and the leadership of the Senate can make. The Republican Senate Conference has released a video showing Democrat Senator Harry Reid contradicting himself in changing the rules of the Senate pertaining to filibusters.

In 2005, Republicans were the majority and proposed filibuster reform. Reid is shown saying to “break the rules to change the rules is un-American.” But now, he refers to the proposal as “minor changes…that wouldn’t affect anybody.”

While in 2012 Reid said the measure was a “partisan political grab,” today he says “to do what is right for the country, is to change these rules in the Senate.”
