  1. A partisan media is almost impossible to defeat. If Frankel and Murphy can win in Florida, despite the overwhelming evidence that they are odious incompetents, then the BizPak Review and the rest of us and the Republican party (what’s left of it) in Florida needs a serious post mortem and then refocus and get back to work. Yes, we will feel miserable for a while. Can’t help that. It was a massacre. But we must rise from the ashes and get it right next time. Chins up everybody.

  2. I think Hager’s energy was a little off. LOL. Maybe if you R’s weren’t so extreme and nutty you would have won more elections. It’s evident all over the country. You lost with women big. Your post mortem ought to be looking at your extreme views and insane ideas for women.

  3. Sorry Shari, but the extremely partisan media elected Obama and Sachs and Murphy and Frankel and the rest of them. We no longer have a free press. Now that the election is over, the media will discover Obama’s lies about the murder of our Ambassador in Lybia and start “asking questions”. What a joke. And to what are you referring when you say Republicans have “extreme and nutty” views about women? Are you kidding? What is extreme in your view, not requiring governement to pay for your birth control? Not wanting our government to pay for abortion? When you elect a government that promises to give you free stuff, don’t be surprised when they take it all back, and then some. Government spending to stimulate an economy has never worked anywhere and that is what Obama promises more of. Try to grasp the fact that our government does not have anything: no assets, no money, nothing that it first hasn’t taken from someone else or minted out of thin air. You will get four more years of a disastrous economy, including up to 20 Trillion in debt and crazy inflation and we will all be able to thank you and the other deep thinkers who thought re-electing this socialist was a good idea. God help us.

  4. JohnnyBGood says:

What republicans need to wrap their head around is you can’t win elections with just old white men and white married women. Obama got 67% of the vote of unmarried woman, 93% of the black vote, 78% of the Latino vote. The democrats have a “big tent” philosophy and they reach out to all groups. The republicans need to expand their base but with stances such as “self-deportation”, “legitimate rape”, “personhood” laws, and calling “47%” of American freeloaders, you’ll still be the party of old white guys and stuck on stupid.

  5. You are right JBG. The republicans needed to embrace the big tent concept and if they had we would be celebrating an easy victory for Romney today. Where were the Tea Party patriots and the Evangelicals and all the Republican governors and on and on? They were not invited! I still think the energetic and articulate and passionate Marco Rubio would have helped immensly with the very important hispanic vote. He would have been my choice for VP instead of the cerebral Ryan who should remain in the congressional trenches where he has been so effective. The Republican hierarchy which managed Romney and probably McCain four years ago needs an infusion of common sense and a dose of reality. They got the reality with the rest of us last night. It is time to realiz that all right thinking Americans need to be enlisted in the critical endeavor to rescue and restore America. It is important to spend a bit of time to lick our wounds, eat a little humble pie and catch our breath. Then we must roll up our sleeves get it right next time. It is time to get planning and working The next important election is two years from now. No group can be excluded. All aboard!
