Political bumper stickers going the way of the dinosaur

While out driving, you may notice the lack of bumper stickers on cars this political season. It appears that bumper stickers and political buttons of old school campaigns have “bitten the dust.”

Campaigns are still spending money on items used for name identification, but the new revolutionary aspect of campaigns is to direct spending toward social media. Most campaigns now have Facebook and Twitter to promote their campaign.

    I see Romney stickers frequently, but few for other candidates. So social media are the reason? I’d have thought it was caution against obamarrhoid vandalism, which the video reporter neglected to mention.

    I think it is because they used to be free. Now you get one if you contribute.

    I got Romney/Ryan yard signs free and 2 bumpers stickers, which my husband and I put on our vehicles and bought 2 lapel pins & didn’t mind it because the money goes toward the campaign money for Romney but thank goodness for the internet media. We went to 3 of Romney’s rallies and they were free.

  4. Partisans are getting crazy, the value of anonymity goes up the closer you get to the city.
