Col. Martha McSally: ‘I’m a woman warrior, and the real war on women is in Islamic countries’

GOP candidate for Arizona’s Congressional District 2 Col. Martha McSally (ret.) offers her thoughts on the so-called “War on Women” at a campaign appearance.

“I’m a woman warrior,” she begins. “I’ve been fighting for women’s rights and women’s equality my whole life.”

She continues, “You want to talk about a war on women? Walk in my shoes down the streets of Kabul. Walk in my shoes down the streets of Riyadh; where women have to be covered up. Where they’re stoned, where they’re honor killed if they’ve been raped , where they can’t drive and they can’t travel without the permission of a male relative.”

“That’s a war on women.”

  1. Col. Martha McSally (ret.) sounds like a great candidate. I wish her well. Unfortunately, as a Californian, I cannot vote for her. We do have a good candidate running against Dianne Feinstein though her campaign is a long shot – Elizabeth Emken. By the good Colonel’s standards, Elizabeth Emken is probably a liberal, but from California political standards, she’s a conservative. It’s tough, frustrating to be one of Obama’s bitter clingers while living on the left coast during election time. One vote against the teaming hordes of socialism coming from the dual left lobe heartbeats of Hollywood and S.F., feels nearly pointless and futile.
