The Des Moines Register’s front page, a vivid illustration of Romney’s rise

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but the entire front page of a major Midwest newspaper could be worth an entire election.

With a double headline at the fold, subscribers to the Des Moines Register were treated to that publication’s assessment of the Obama and Romney campaigns just 12 days away from the election.
