O’Donoghue Statement on Alan Grayson’s Ties To So-Called “Party”
(Winter Park, FL) — Following a report this morning in the Orlando Sentinel regarding Alan Grayson’s ties to a so-called “Tea Party” political party, conservative small businessman Bruce O’Donoghue today released the following statement:
“Alan Grayson’s fingerprints are all over the creation of this so-called “party,” and he insults the intelligence of voters by claiming he had nothing to do with it. Grayson has brought Central Florida politics to an all time low and he is playing fast and loose with federal election law. Grayson must immediately answer questions about his relationship with his media buyer and whether he had anything to do with the creation of this sham ‘party.'”
O’Donoghue, who is endorsed by lifelong friends, former U.S. Senator Mel Martinez and former Florida Lieutenant Governor Toni Jennings, was recently named an “On the Radar” candidate by the National Republican Congressional Committee’s “Young Guns” program after raising over $350,000 in the first quarter of 2010. O’Donoghue raised more funds than all the other GOP candidates combined in the 8th District.
Florida’s 8th Congressional District is considered a “Tilt Republican” District by the Rothenberg Political Report.
